This is a list of a few things I’d like to do before I die but I know ain’t gonna happen.

• Visit the Musée des Automates in Paris.
  • I tried in 1997 but they were closed for remodeling. It is unlikely I’ll return.
• Climb Mount Everest.
  • What? Are you kidding? I’d be more likely to walk up a hill and come down a mountain.
• Write the Great American Novel.
  • I’d have to write a novel first. Any novel.
• Visit all 50 states.
  • 48 are a possibility but Alaska and Hawaii are probably a bridge too far.
• Run a marathon.
  • Not really.
• Organize my home office.
  • Although I’ve heard that clutter can be an organizing principle.
• Go spelunking.
  • My luck I’d get trapped.
• Go skydiving.
  • I’ve heard it’s as easy as falling off a log but I’m sure my knees wouldn’t be happy.
• Write a list blog post.
